Doing Business in China – Update

I had an interesting e-mail exchange with John Caden of RehaMed International in Florida. He says…

“We currently outsource some of our components from China. However, we do so through a company based in Michigan. This is actually the best of both worlds, as nothing gets lost in the translation. This process has been extremely helpful in being able to take advantage of the low production costs in China, without the associated hassles of dealing directly with Chinese engineers.”

John goes on to recommend a company called Affiliated Global for use in outsourcing projects. I have not used them myself (yet) but it is certainly appealing to have a U.S. based company working with you versus the typically offshore outsourcing firms.
